We are expecting between 200-250 people to attend the event. We are promoting you on the "Participating Vendors" page of the event website at CrabCakeTasting.com. We have also (or will over the next few days) given you a shout out on social media while promoting the event. In return, please do us a favor and promote the event on your social media platforms between now and then inviting your followers to stop by and see you at the event. Your clients, customers and prospects will have a GREAT time and they will thank YOU for inviting them.
A promotional graphic is below for social media posting. When you post the graphic, you could say something like "Come out to the Crab Cake Challenge in Rosedale on Tuesday, Sept. 16th for great crab cakes, crab soup and fun. Oh, and make sure to stop by our station, enjoy some samples and say Hi".
They have a giant parking lot. You can park near the entrance to unload and then move your vehicle to the parking lot. They have some carts available to bring your stuff in.
Setup time on Tuesday will be from 2pm until 4:45pm. PLEASE try to be early and set up on time. We cannot have vendors carrying their stuff into the building and setting up while the event is starting. Please do everything you can to be completely set up and ready to go by 4:45pm at the latest. Allow for traffic and construction because there probably is some between your place and the Boumi Temple.
We will provide a table for a staging area behind you and another table in front of you for serving. All tables will have linens. If you have your own linen(s), you are free to bring them to use. You will also have access to power should you need it. You should bring any plates, bowls, forks, spoons, napkins, etc. that you need. We will have a large trash can near your food station.
Feel free to bring your marketing banners, table drapes, brochures, flyers, coupons, etc. to hand out to people if you want. If you have a fish bowl or tip bucket or something similar, you should bring it to collect business cards or people's contact information to follow up with or add to your email newsletter, etc. This is a marketing opportunity for your business. Take advantage of it.
Each attendee will have one ticket for each food vendor. When they stop by your food station, they will give you the ticket. You can in turn offer them samples of your crab cakes and/or soup. Then they will move on to the next station.
At the end of the event, everyone gets one vote for each of the three categories, crab cakes, cream of crab soup and Maryland crab. We will provide the voting tickets and collection boxes as well as something to collect the sampling tickets.
We will also print and display signs on your table to remind them how to vote for you.

The Cash Bar is CASH Only so bring some with you or use the ATM in the lobby.
There will also be some raffles which will require cash.
There will be a photographer or two around during the whole event. One of them will come around to each station as it is set up and will take a picture of your station with any staff members that want to be in the photo. He or she will post it on the Event page on Facebook and tag it to the Level10Events Facebook page. PLEASE take 1 minute and work with him/her to get a post onto your Facebook business page even if he/she has to use your phone to take the picture and show you how to do it.
We will raffle off Door Prizes at the event every 30 minutes. If you have something that you would like to donate, bring it with you. We will announce your business from the stage when we raffle it off. This is another way to get some recognition at the event.
Please email me the names of the people that will be there if you haven’t already provided them. You get a total of four tickets with your vendor registration to bring staff to help out. We will be slammed at the registration desk and it's a challenge when someone walks in and says I'm with ABC restaurant so please send us their names. If they come in unannounced, we have to go find you and confirm things which takes too much time. We can have their names on the registration list so they can just check in when they get there. Send the email to Doug@Level10.biz.
Please keep your food station set up until 8pm. We will announce the winners of the competition between 8:15 and 8:30pm as well as on social media the following day. Breakdown and clean-up is to be completed by 9pm.
Be Early Did I mention to get there early? Everything will go much smoother if everyone is there early and set up, getting their pictures taken and posting things prior to the doors opening at 5pm.
I think that's it. Looking forward to a great event. With your help, we can ensure it.
